Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development, including preschool, toddler care, and infant care activities.
• Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social interaction.
• Provide attentive childcare by supervising children during play, meals, naps, and outdoor activities.
• Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques.
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and collaborating with specialists as needed.
• Administer basic first aid when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all children in your care.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child’s progress, milestones, and any concerns.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain an organized, positive learning environment.
• Demonstrated ability to handle caregiving responsibilities with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
