Ryan Leckey Media (RLM) is a fast-moving, Emmy-winning content machine. We don’t just make videos; we build visual legacies. We are looking for a Creative Director who is the ultimate hybrid: a high-level strategist with the soul of a cinematographer, the hands of a master editor, and a solid business background. You don’t just create for art’s sake; you have a deep understanding of what moves the needle forward in a company and how high-caliber creative assets drive bottom-line growth.

This isn’t a “sit-behind-a-desk-and-delegate” role. You are the conductor of the orchestra. You are the person who sets the visual tone for the entire agency, directs high-stakes shoots, and ensures that every piece of content leaving our shop is world-class and strategically aligned with our clients’ business objectives.

The Role: Architect of the RLM Aesthetic

As Creative Director, you are the final authority on the RLM brand and our clients’ visual identities. You will oversee the entire creative department, bridging the gap between client business goals and cinematic execution. You must be able to jump into an edit suite and fix a pacing issue, step onto a set and perfect the lighting, and sit in a boardroom to sell a $100k campaign, all before lunch.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Strategic Leadership: You own the “Big Idea.” You’ll translate complex client briefs into cohesive, multi-platform visual campaigns that win awards, drive results, and scale brands.
  • Cinematic Directing: Serve as the Lead Director/DP on our largest productions. You set the standard for lighting, lens choice, and movement that the rest of the team follows.
  • Mastery of the Cut: While you manage editors, you are the “Editor-in-Chief.” You oversee the post-production workflow, ensuring color grading, sound design, and narrative rhythm are flawless.
  • Mastery of Storytelling: You’re more than just an image creator; you’re a gifted writer: capable of squeezing full-fledged brand personalities and goals into a 30 or 15-second spot without sacrificing meaning or impact.
  • Department Mentorship: You aren’t just a boss; you’re a coach. You will grow our Art Director and Content Creators, pushing them to expand their technical and creative boundaries.
  • Client Partnership: Act as the creative face of RLM. You will pitch concepts to CEOs and stakeholders, defending the “why” behind our visual choices with a keen understanding of ROI and business impact.
  • Future-Proofing: Stay ahead of the curve in AI integration, 3D motion graphics (C4D/After Effects), and emerging social trends to keep RLM at the top of the food chain.
