This job opportunity is with a planned start date of 15th August 2025


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of pastries, desserts, baked goods, and plated sweets as per recipes and presentation standards.
  • Handle daily mise en place for the pastry section.
  • Follow instructions from senior chefs regarding recipes, portion sizes, and presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry stations and storage areas.
  • Operate pastry equipment (mixers, ovens, etc.) safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in stock rotation and proper storage of ingredients.
  • Support in the production of pastry items for à la carte, buffet, banquet, and room service menus.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times (e.g., HACCP).
  • Report any issues with food quality or kitchen equipment promptly.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen or bakery.
  • Basic pastry knowledge (e.g., cakes, doughs, tarts, mousses).
  • Culinary or pastry certification from a recognized institution preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
