Full job description

We are looking for an experienced CNC Operator / Programmer to join our workshop team. The ideal candidate should be able to operate CNC turning machines, prepare and modify CNC programs, and independently carry out machining jobs according to drawings and required specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC turning machines.
• Prepare, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, speeds, and feeds.
• Set workpieces, tools, offsets, and machine parameters accurately.
• Perform turning, facing, threading, grooving, boring, and other machining operations.
• Inspect finished components using appropriate measuring instruments.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality of machined parts.
• Identify and resolve machining/programming issues.
• Carry out routine machine checks and maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Minimize material wastage and ensure efficient machine utilization.
• Follow company quality, safety, and production procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a CNC Turner / CNC Programmer.
• Strong knowledge of CNC turning operations and programming.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Ability to set up machines and troubleshoot machining problems.
• Good knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, speeds, and feeds.
• Technical qualification/diploma in machining or a related field is preferred.
