Clinic Receptionist

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Greets and directs patients, visitors, and calls; acts as a front desk receptionist and provides excellent customer service.

2. Schedules appointments, answers clinic phones, and relays accurate messages.

3. Registers patients, collects/updating demographic and insurance information, and assists with information or paperwork as needed.

4. Accepts and tracks patient payments, processes transactions, and keeps records in accordance with hospital policy.

5. Reviews and sorts incoming/outgoing mail, distributes faxes, and manages clinic correspondence, photocopying, and document assembly as requested.

6. Maintains and orders office supplies; keeps work area and common spaces organized.

7. Maintains and manages medical records, file reports, circulates documents per privacy and compliance procedures.

8. Utilizes electronic systems for registration, data entry, scheduling, payments, and resource management.

9. Demonstrates consistent, courteous communication style with patients, providers, and staff both in-person and by phone.

10. Ensures compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.

11. Supports clinic operations by coordinating patient flow and assisting clinical team with administrative tasks as needed.

12. Maintains respect and courtesy in all interactions, demonstrating confidentiality, professionalism, neat appearance, and a positive “can-do” attitude.

13. Behave and dress in a professional and courteous manner consistent with the facilities Standards of Behavior.

14. Perform other duties as assigned.
