Full job description

The Maintenance Department is looking to hire for a 12 month, full-time night cleaner position.

Start ASAP.

• Responsible for the care and cleanliness of the classrooms, corridors and grounds.
• Sweeps, mops and washes floors and stairs.
• Dusts desks, woodwork, furniture and other equipment.
• Washes windows, walls, blackboards, sinks, toilets and other fixtures.
• Polishes furniture and metal furnishings.
• Empties waste baskets, collects and disposes of rubbish.
• Set up and tear down of after-school activities.
• Carries out any other assigned duties and/or responsibilities by the Superintendent of Schools and the Board of Education.

Job Qualifications

• Good knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment and ability to use them efficiently and economically.
• Be very neat and thorough.
• Must be willing to follow oral and written instructions.
• Good moral character, personal cleanliness, courteous, neat, cooperative attitude, dependable and loyal, completely trustworthy and honest.
