Position Overview
Horizon Management Partners (HMP) is seeking a visionary and mission-driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization into its next phase of growth and regional impact. The CEO will serve as the senior executive responsible for strategic leadership, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement across the Midsouth’s independent school network.
This role will oversee a growing organization with 12–15 full-time staff and will be instrumental in building a best-in-class Scholarship Granting Organization aligned with federal and state tax credit frameworks. The CEO will play a pivotal role in advancing educational opportunity, strengthening school partnerships, and expanding donor engagement throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities Executive Leadership & Strategy
- Provide overall leadership, direction, and execution of the organization’s mission and long-term strategic plan
- Establish organizational goals, performance metrics, and operational benchmarks
- Ensure alignment with all applicable federal and state regulatory requirements across the Midsouth
- Lead organizational growth initiatives, innovation strategies, and long-range planning efforts
- Report regularly to the Board of Directors regarding organizational performance and strategic priorities
Staff Management & Organizational Development
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of 12–15 full-time employees across operations, donor relations, compliance, and outreach
- Build a high-performance, mission-aligned organizational culture focused on collaboration and accountability
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, staff development, performance evaluations, and retention strategies
- Foster leadership development and professional growth opportunities within the organization
Donor Engagement & Fundraising
- Serve as the primary ambassador for donor relations and major gift cultivation
- Develop and execute strategies to increase donor participation and philanthropic investment across the Midsouth
- Maintain strong relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporate partners, and community leaders
- Support long-term fundraising initiatives and stewardship programs to sustain organizational growth
