Overview
Veteran Precision Logistics LLC is actively seeking a dependable and motivated Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver to join our growing operation as an independent contractor. This is an opportunity for a self-driven professional who wants to stay moving, maximize earnings, and grow with a veteran-owned logistics company.

We are based in New England and specialize in general freight transportation across regional and national lanes. This role involves long-haul trips, consistent communication, and a strong focus on safety and on-time delivery. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can operate independently while representing the company professionally.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not a W-2 role. Pay is percentage-based per load, offering strong earning potential for drivers who are willing to run consistently and efficiently. Opportunities for increased earnings and long-term growth are available as the company continues to grow.

The ideal candidate is reliable, responsive, and comfortable being on the road for extended periods. Prior experience with box trucks is preferred but not required if you are willing to learn and put in the work. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

Duties

• Safely operate a non-CDL box truck across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed
• Deliver goods directly to customers’ locations, ensuring accurate and complete deliveries
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and confirming receipt of shipments
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records
• Assist with warehouse duties such as inventory management, stock movement, and organizing freight for efficient delivery

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with <PERSON> driver or courier roles preferred.
• Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving and heavy lifting techniques
• Ability to operate box trucks with manual transmission confidently
• Experience with pallet jacks, lift gates, as well as ratchet straps is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
• Physical ability to lift heavy packages repeatedly and perform moving tasks safely
• Familiarity with safety protocols related to commercial driving and freight handling
• Able to conduct Pre and post vehicle inspections.
• Knowledge of OTR is preferred.
• DOT Medical Card
• Experience utilizing ELD (Motive)
• Past records of passing weight station inspections or DOT road side Inspections is required.
