Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our team in a fast-paced convenience store environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role involves managing transactions, assisting customers, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all patrons.

Duties

  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Assist in merchandising products and maintaining an organized sales floor.
  • Perform stocking duties to ensure shelves are well-stocked and displays are appealing.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to promote sales and enhance customer engagement.
  • Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain phone etiquette when answering customer calls and addressing their concerns.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth operation of the store and assist in supervising junior staff as needed.

Experience

  • Previous experience in cashiering or restraunt is preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic math and retail math principles for accurate transaction processing.
