JOB SUMMARY

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Greets and assists guest at the food & beverage outlet.
- Received payment from the guest for food and beverage purchases in an accurate, prompt, courteous manner.
- Adheres to established cash handling and internal control policies and procedures.
- Responds promptly to guests’ questions and directs concerns to the appropriate manager.
- Performance as a Team Member with kitchen staff and leadership.
- Maintains a clean workspace.
- Protects company assets against theft, breakage, and waste.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six months to One year of previous cashier experience preferred.
- Literacy and fluency in Vietnamese or Chinese Language a plus.
- Good communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with guests and employees.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently.
- Must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements.
- Ability to appreciate and be friendly with all Harrah’s Gulf Coast Team Members who are of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
- Able to read, write and speak English sufficiently to perform job.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
- Ability to preform these operations using units of American money.
- Available to work any shift, holidays and weekends.
- Ability to tolerate cigarette/cigar smoke and e-cigarette vapor.
- Responds to visual and aural cues.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to stoop, reach and bend as necessary.
- Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
