Duties

• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly and addressing inquiries professionally
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
• Assist with product demos to showcase features and benefits to customers, encouraging sales
• Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, including stocking shelves and merchandising displays
• Support inventory management through stocking, product rotation, and stock replenishment
• Use strong communication skills to inform customers about promotions, upselling opportunities, and store policies
• Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting remote customers

Experience

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
• Familiarity with POS systems and retail math for accurate cash handling and sales tracking
• Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively
• Strong communication skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette are essential
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, product demos, and upselling techniques will set you apart
