Job Summary

Duties

• Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools.
• Support framing, trim carpentry, siding, roofing, and drywall installation tasks on various projects.
• Prepare work sites by cleaning debris, organizing materials, and setting up scaffolding or ladders.
• Handle heavy lifting of materials such as lumber, concrete forms, rebar, and fixtures to ensure smooth workflow.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, or instructions to help with fixture installation, door hanging, cabinetry, or flooring.
• Aid in demolition or restoration work including water damage remediation, mold removal, or plastering.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment properly.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of hand tools (hammers, saws, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws).
• Familiarity with construction processes such as framing, siding, roofing, masonry, or drywall installation.
• Ability to read blueprints or schematics for accurate project execution.
• Experience with concrete forming, rebar installation, or metal stud framing is a plus.
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or on uneven surfaces.
• Understanding of construction safety standards and site protocols.
• Previous experience in construction estimating or remodeling projects is advantageous but not required.
