Café Staff / Peer Mentor (Part-Time)

Located inside the Schottland Family YMCA, we’re proud to hire inclusively and mentor individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) as they build skills and confidence. We’re growing fast and looking for team members who are excited to make a difference—one latte, smile, and high-five at a time.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver joyful, friendly service to every guest
• Prepare hot & cold drinks, snacks, and smoothies
• Operate the cash register with care and accuracy
• Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe
• Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols
• Be a peer mentor—help team members with disabilities learn and thrive on shift (don’t worry, we train you!)
• Work as part of a kind, collaborative team that supports one another

What We’re Looking For:

• Positive, people-loving energy
• Willingness to learn and work hard
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Dependability and great attendance
• A heart for inclusion and a desire to help others grow
• Experience in cafés or mentoring is a bonus—but not required!
