Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our market presence in the Electrical Services / Contracting industry. This key role is focused on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and securing contracts for electrical construction, maintenance, and service projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial and electrical markets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, property managers, developers, and facility managers.
- Generate leads through networking, industry events, and strategic outreach.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, bids, and presentations to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with field service teams to ensure accurate project scoping and pricing.
- Track sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Represent the company at trade shows, client meetings, and community events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-7+ years of business development or sales experience, preferably in electrical contracting, construction, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of electrical services, construction processes, or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) industries.
- Proven track record of generating leads and closing deals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read construction drawings and understand project specifications (Preferred).
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
