Full job description

We are seeking a dependable, friendly, and organized Breakfast Cook to prepare and serve high-quality morning meals for guests at our bed and breakfast. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming breakfast experience through excellent food preparation, cleanliness, and guest interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook daily breakfast menu items, including eggs, pancakes, pastries, fruit, breakfast meats, and specialty dishes
  • Accommodate guest dietary needs and food allergies as needed
  • Ensure food is prepared safely and in accordance with health and sanitation standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and prep area
  • Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management
  • Assist with menu planning and seasonal specials
  • Perform opening kitchen duties

Qualifications

  • Previous cooking or food service experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work early morning shifts 6am-2pm, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently in a small-team environment
  • Friendly and guest-focused attitude
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in hospitality, cafés, inns, or bed and breakfasts
  • Familiarity with homemade and scratch cooking
  • Basic baking skills
  • Creativity in menu presentation and seasonal meal planning

Work Schedule

  • Early morning shifts
  • Part-time or full-time opportunities available
  • Weekend availability required
