Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bread Baker to prepare a variety of traditional Mediterranean breads from scratch. The ideal candidate is passionate about baking, highly reliable, and skilled in both the art and science of bread making. You will be responsible for producing high-quality breads that meet our standards for taste, texture, and appearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads including pita, flatbreads, and other traditional Mediterranean loaves.
• Mix, knead, proof, shape, and bake doughs according to standardized recipes and techniques.
• Monitor baking process to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
• Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and notify management of supply needs.
• Clean and maintain baking equipment and the baking area in compliance with food safety standards.
• Adjust recipes and baking times as needed based on temperature, humidity, and other variables.
• Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to align bread production with daily service needs.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a bread baker or in a commercial bakery required.
• Familiarity with Mediterranean or Middle Eastern bread styles is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of dough fermentation, shaping, and baking techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and consistency.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
