Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to support our financial operations and administrative functions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing organization by maintaining accurate financial records, managing bookkeeping tasks, and providing essential administrative support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including data entry, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processing using Quickbooks Online
  • Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Prepare journal entries, conduct account analysis, and maintain the integrity of the general ledger in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Assist with payroll processing, tax preparation, and governmental accounting requirements to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses and assisting with financial report writing for management review.
  • Maintain organized records of financial documents, invoices, receipts, and other relevant documentation.
  • Provide administrative support including calendar management, correspondence handling, and document preparation to facilitate smooth office operations.

Experience

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with familiarity in corporate or non-profit accounting environments.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks ONLINE a MUST.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and email for negotiation, dispute resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation accurately.
  • Experience with payroll processing and budget management is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in 10-key typing and attention to detail to ensure precise financial data entry.
