Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This vital role involves managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, maintaining precise financial data, and supporting our accounting functions to help us achieve operational excellence. Duties

  • Record and process all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including debits & credits, to maintain the integrity of the general ledger
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and preparing financial reports as needed

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, governmental accounting, and non-profit accounting practices
  • Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting
  • Familiarity with financial concepts including debits & credits, bank reconciliation, and account analysis
  • Experience with financial report writing and preparing detailed financial statements
  • Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently for data entry tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in all bookkeeping activities
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
