Bistro Attendant (AM & PM) – Experience Preferred

The Bistro at our Courtyard by Marriott is a chic, fast-casual concept restaurant offering an eclectic menu including a variety of refreshing to-go options, as well as full sit-down fare including cocktails, wine, beer, and Starbucks coffee. Our Bistro Team Members master a wide variety of food & beverage functions, from serving coffee and other beverages (including alcohol), to preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. You’re happiest when juggling tasks and “getting it right” is important to you. You have a flair for taste tempting, the gift of persuasion, and an aim to please. Your excellent service and genuine care is appreciated, which guests immediately recognize and reward.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Meet and greet every guest who comes up to counter.

· Have knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and pricing.

· Repeat orders back to guests for accuracy.

· Receive, prepare, and serve meal and beverage orders.

· Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Weigh, measure and mix, ingredients.

· Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and food preparation standards, and food preparation checklist.

· Before presenting food to guest, make sure order was prepared correctly.

· Ensure prompt and courteous service of food and beverages to guests.

· Follow Marriott brand standards on service delivery at every encounter with the guest.

· Remember to provide a level of service that is expected at a free-standing restaurant.

· Stock areas with clean linen, glassware, and silverware.

· Display knowledge in and follow at all times, sanitation and sanitary food handling.

· Keep work areas clean and organized.

· Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.

· Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.

· Use of POS system; some cashiering functions may include closing checks, entering orders, modifying entries and end of shift paperwork.
