The following Core Responsibilities represent the primary duties and key priorities of this position. They are grouped into two categories: Job Functions and Professionalism and Style Expectations.
A Physical Requirements section follows, outlining expectations applicable to all positions.
Each responsibility is assigned a weight indicating the percentage of the job it represents. For performance evaluations, the Core Responsibilities account for 90% of the overall score, while the Professionalism and Style Expectations make up the remaining 10%.
Availability including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
Job Function
Bar Service and Beverage Operations
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and service standards.
Provide prompt, friendly, and attentive service to guests at the bar and in the dining area as needed.
Maintain consistency in drink quality, presentation, and portioning.
Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and regulations.
Set up and stock the bar with all necessary supplies including liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and ice.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including counters, equipment, and storage.
Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain accurate tabs in the POS system.
Monitor guest consumption and practice responsible alcohol service.
Restock and replenish bar inventory and communicate shortages to the appropriate supervisor.
Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, stocking, and cash reconciliation.
Support timely and efficient service during peak hours.
Respond promptly to supervisor and guest requests.
Follow all restaurant or hotel policies and procedures.
Attend all required meetings and trainings.
Assist with additional front-of-house or operational duties as assigned.
