The Aloft Indianapolis Downtown is looking for an energetic and friendly individual to join our beverage team as a bartender at W XYZ Bar located inside Indy’s newest and trendiest hotel destination; boasting 128 guestrooms, a full-service bar and a small plate dining concept. Aloft is a hip Marriott lifestyle brand focused on style, personality and a lively hotel social scene to cater to the next gen traveler.
As a bartender, you would be responsible for the following tasks:
- Prepare drink orders including craft cocktails, wine, liquor and beer.
- Adhere to craft cocktail recipes to ensure consistent beverage quality
- Prep garnishes and complete craft cocktail batching
- Monitor seating in the lounge/bar area ensuring all guests are served.
- Maintain an environment of safe alcohol service by monitoring guest alcohol consumption in accordance with TIPS certification standards
- Maintain bar cleanliness, work areas and tables, glasses, utensils and bar equipment.
- Restock bar as needed.
- Ensures all temp logs and waste logs are maintained daily.
- Ensures tips are reported properly for tax processing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior experience working as bartender is required
- Strong knowledge of basic cocktail recipes
- Ability to learn and execute in house craft cocktail recipes
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Ability to obtain an alcohol service permit.
