Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with skill and consistency
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
• Greet customers warmly, take their orders efficiently, and provide friendly, attentive service
• Manage cash register operations including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing registers at shift end
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation practices
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when needed
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without sacrificing quality or accuracy

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista with strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of café operations
• Previous cashiering experience using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in the food industry
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude
• Familiarity with serving, food preparation, and food handling best practices
