Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with skill and consistency
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders efficiently, and provide friendly, attentive service
- Manage cash register operations including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing registers at shift end
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without sacrificing quality or accuracy
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista with strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of café operations
- Previous cashiering experience using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in the food industry
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude
- Familiarity with serving, food preparation, and food handling best practices
