ABOUT THE MANSIONS ON FIFTH
Located in Shadyside, The Mansions on Fifth Hotel is a boutique luxury destination comprised of two historic homes. The “Fifth Avenue House” and the “Amberson House” have been thoughtfully transformed into 22 exquisite guest rooms, rich in character and charm.
COMPENSATION & HOURS
Employment Type: Part-Time, Including Weekends and Evenings
Hours: 8 – 24 per week, 8-hour shifts
Salary: $17 per hour, plus gratuity
Benefits: Paid Time Off
New employees begin to accrue two weeks of paid time off immediately, which in Year 1 partially vests after 90 days and fully vests after 6 months from the date of hire. PTO may be cashed out twice a year if not used. PTO maxes out at five weeks after the completion of five years of service.
HIRING REQUIREMENTS
Previous professional experience in banquet catering is preferred, but not required.
Candidates must have a clean criminal record; in order to be hired, candidates must submit to and pass a criminal background check.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Banquet Server
Our banquet servers are responsible for creating a seamless guest experience at our events. They must warmly welcome attendees, anticipate their needs, and accurately execute all aspects of the BEO.
We are seeking friendly, service-oriented individuals who are dependable and possess strong attention to detail.
Duties include:
· Greet guests warmly and professionally to create a positive first impression
· Serve appetizers and multi-course meals to multiple tables while accurately accommodating dietary restrictions
· Set up and maintain buffet, coffee, dessert, and action stations throughout events
· Prepare event spaces according to BEO specifications, including table configuration, linens, staging place settings, etc.
· Bus tables consistently and efficiently to maintain a clean event environment
· Polish flatware and glassware before and after events as needed
· Assist with event breakdown, trash removal and room flips for subsequent events
· Maintain all service areas, including server stations, kitchens, and guest-facing spaces
· Perform physically demanding tasks, including carrying trays and standing or walking for extended periods of time
· Remain consistently up to date with public hotel events and functions to better answer guest questions
· Adhere to all policies laid out within the Priory Hospitality Group Employee Handbook
· Complete all tasks assigned by manager or owners with an emphasis on quality and timeliness
