Assistant Service Coordinator
Modular Comfort Systems, a commercial HVAC company in Syracuse, NY, is seeking a full-time Assistant Service Coordinator. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of tasks as needed to provide support for the Service Department. Our ideal candidate should have the ability to alternate duties as needed as well as thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Act as a backup to Service Coordinators to receive and schedule service calls or provide customer service support as needed
Enter and maintain service contracts and job site information
Issue purchase orders to vendors for items purchased by service personnel. Reconcile and receive items and approve vendor invoices before sending to accounting office for payment
Reconcile Service Personnel’s timesheets with service reports using company specific software. Generate a report of weekly activity and submit to appropriate in-house personnel
Ship and receive outgoing and incoming packages
Maintain and organize departmental supplies
Provide support to department personnel
Qualification Standards
Associate’s degree in business administration preferred
HVAC industry experience preferred
Prior customer service experience preferred
Must be computer literate and have familiarity with Microsoft Office, Teams software, also be able to learn company specific software
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Must be able to take direction, also work independently
