SUMMARY:
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, compassionate, and detail‑oriented Patient Care Coordinator/Sales Assistant to support our surgery scheduling department at Deuk Spine Institute. This role plays a critical part in guiding patients from across the U.S. and around the world through the early stages of their surgical journey.
The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing administrative support, patient communication, scheduling coordination, and sales follow‑up in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven medical environment.
This position begins part‑time with the opportunity to grow into a full‑time role.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a point of contact for prospective and current patients
- Support the Scheduling & Sales Department with daily administrative and coordination tasks
- Assist with patient intake, documentation, and follow‑up communication
- Coordinate logistics for patients traveling domestically and internationally
- Maintain accurate records within scheduling and CRM systems
- Provide compassionate, professional communication to patients and families navigating complex medical decisions
Essential Duties
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, and electronic systems
- Collect and organize information
- Assist in scheduling consultations, imaging reviews, and surgical dates
- Track patient status through the pre‑operative pipeline
- Follow up with patients regarding next steps, documentation, and timelines
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards
- Support internal coordination between clinical, administrative, and sales teams
