Assistant Manager – SoulFlora Dispensary
Location: In-Store | Newfoundland, NJ

Job Type: Full-Time (30–40 hours/week)

Pay Range: $24–$27/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Rotating shifts including weekends; mix of opens and closes

About the Role
SoulFlora is seeking an experienced Assistant Dispensary Manager to support daily retail operations and serve as a key floor leader within our store. This role works closely with the General Manager and leadership team to ensure smooth operations, strong customer experiences, and consistent compliance with NJ CRC regulations.

When the General Manager is not on-site, the Assistant Manager is expected to confidently lead the floor, support staff, resolve issues in real time, and ensure the store operates to SoulFlora’s standards. This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable leading people in a fast-paced retail environment.

This role requires comfort making decisions independently, enforcing policies consistently, and maintaining store standards.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Open and close the store independently during assigned shifts
Lead day-to-day floor operations and supervise staff in real time
Serve as the primary point of leadership when the GM is not present
Handle escalated customer service situations professionally and decisively
Ensure accurate cash handling, product protection, and daily reconciliations using Dutchie and METRC
Support labor execution, breaks, and shift coverage
Training and coaching team members on retail standards, cannabis education, compliance, and store workflows
Reinforce clear expectations for staff performance, roles, and responsibilities
Assist with performance feedback, coaching conversations, and disciplinary actions (with GM sign-off)
Ensure clean closes, organized workspaces, and a professional sales floor at all times
Uphold all NJ CRC regulations, company policies, and compliance requirements
Qualifications
3+ years of retail or supervisory experience
Experience leading teams in fast-paced, customer-facing environments
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Tech-savvy and comfortable using POS and inventory systems
Confident communicator who can coach, correct, and motivate staff
Able to balance authority with approachability
Cannabis experience strongly preferred, not required
Must be 21+ and able to pass NJ CRC background checks
