Lac Des Iles mine site is 700-person mining camp located roughly 2hrs outside of Thunder Bay.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring that AMIK Catering meets all contractual obligations related to Accommodations and Janitorial services, in a safe manner, while adhering to budgeted productivity and staffing models
  • Day to day management of the Accommodations team which includes but is not limited to Housekeeping, Laundry, and Site Cleaning staff
  • Ensuring that services under their control are managed in accordance with Company, Guest and Client guidelines and expectations
  • Maintaining and promoting a safe work environment for team members and camp guests
  • Maintaining staffing levels in accordance to Company budgetary requirements and services that are to be completed
  • Review all work schedules to ensure that workloads are in accordance with company expectations.
  • Provide training, coaching and mentoring of associates to ensure everyone clearly understands what is expected of them, and the proper methods in which to complete their assigned tasks
  • Participate in disciplinary meetings with the Camp Manager as may be required from time to time
  • Provide room investigations as required
  • 50% of each shift is to be in the field and 50% is to be allotted for computer work and office duties

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Familiar with computers and computer programs with a willingness to learn
  • Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness with an eye for detail
  • Enthusiasm
  • Communication skills
  • Neat and tidy appearance staying in compliance with Company Uniform policies
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
