Snapshot of the Position
As Assistant Manager at our Springdale location, you will play a key role in assisting to manage and oversee our daily retail store operations to make sure the store runs smoothly. If you are passionate about leading people and working in a retail environment, we would like to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure departments maintain targets on product in-stock levels
- Order and merchandise product to enhance sales growth
- In the absence of the store manager oversee the perishable departments to ensure production schedules enable them to meet customer product demands
- Take direction from the store manager to concentrate on specific areas for opportunities in margin improvement or expense control
- Play a lead role in the management of the grocery department ordering, merchandising and scheduling
- Assist in the hiring and training as instructed by the store manager
- Ensure a positive working relationship with all levels of employees, fostering a motivated workforce
- In the absence of the store manager maintain the security of company assets including product, equipment, cash and facility
- Performing other duties and assignments as required
Hours of Work
40 hours per week; day, evenings, and weekends as needed.

What Will Stand Out
- Business Degree/Business Diploma or High School and significant experience.
- Operational experience or equivalent training is preferred but not essential.
