Job Vacancy: Assistant Design Manager – Landscaping & Contracting

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Design Manager to join our team in the UAE.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field (mandatory).
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in landscaping, design, and construction projects.
• UAE experience in landscaping or contracting companies is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of landscape design, technical drawings, construction details, and design coordination.
• Experience in reviewing design drawings, specifications, BOQs, and material submittals.
• Ability to coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
• Knowledge of design development, project requirements, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to ensure design compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.
• Candidates with relevant landscaping and contracting experience are preferred. Candidates with consultancy-only or unrelated industry experience may not be suitable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Design Manager in managing and coordinating design activities for landscaping and construction projects.
• Review landscape design drawings, technical details, specifications, and material submittals.
• Coordinate with consultants, project managers, site teams, and other stakeholders to resolve design-related issues.
• Ensure design drawings and documents are aligned with project requirements and approved specifications.
• Monitor design submissions, revisions, approvals, and project deadlines.
• Coordinate with site teams to ensure design intent is implemented correctly during construction.
• Identify design discrepancies and coordinate the necessary revisions and corrective actions.
• Assist in preparing design reports, technical documents, and project presentations.
• Support the Design Manager in ensuring timely completion of design deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with project standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations.

Application Requirements:

Candidates must have relevant experience in landscaping design and contracting projects in the UAE and be available for an interview on short notice.

Work Location: In person
