Duties

  • Assist in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff on food handling, safety procedures, and proper use of equipment to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Oversee inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
  • Operate POS systems such as Toast for order inventory purposes.
  • Support shift management by coordinating staff schedules, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth service flow during busy hours.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen area in accordance with food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with management on budgeting, food production planning, and implementing new menu items or service initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and managing in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment.
  • Demonstrated supervisory or assistant manager experience within the food industry or hospitality sector.
  • Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential.
  • Familiarity with inventory control practices, food safety standards, and kitchen management procedures.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively and foster teamwork.
  • Background in hospitality management or restaurant management preferred; experience in fine dining or casual dining environments is a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
