The Miami Valley Educational Computer Association has an immediate opening on our team for a qualified Application Developer. We are looking for a hardworking self-starter that is dedicated to supporting and providing quality, custom-developed applications.Job Objective: Designs, develops, implements, and supports custom-developed and vendor-based applications used by MVTCG and its client organizations. Ensures applications operate reliably, integrate effectively with related systems, and meet organizational performance and operational needs.Qualifications: – Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred. – In-depth knowledge of computing environments.- Energetic self-starter able to work with minimum supervision.- Ability to conceptualize, evaluate, prioritize, and solve complex problems.- Ability to establish working relationships with co-workers and function as part of a cohesive team.- Maintains high ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism.- Able to work in an interruption-intense environment.- Ability to interact comfortably and confidently with the public.- Ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged information.- Ability to learn new skills and perform new job functions as work environment changes.- Documented evidence of a clear criminal record.Other Desirable Qualifications: – Experience developing, deploying, and supporting web-based or enterprise applications- Experience working with vendor-based applications and integrating custom-developed systems- Proficiency in web-based programming concepts and application development frameworks- Experience with common development technologies such as SQL, HTML, and JavaScript- Ability to provide technical support to internal and external clients.- Familiarity with additional technologies such as CSS, Python, PHP, jQuery, or AngularJS preferred- Work experience in the information technology industry.- Goal-oriented, career-minded.Salary commensurate with experience.
