The Guest Service Agent is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for delivering friendly, professional, and efficient service throughout all stages of the guest experience — from pre-arrival and check-in to in-house support and check-out. This role ensures each guest receives exceptional service to create a memorable stay.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide courteous and professional guest service at all times.
- Handle check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.
- Follow up on rooms not checked out by the scheduled departure time.
- Make and manage reservations for walk-in guests and over the phone.
- Assist guests with inquiries and provide information about the property and local area.
- Perform concierge duties including booking restaurants, tours, and transportation.
- Balance and reconcile a cash float at the end of each shift.
- Maintain high service standards and contribute to a positive guest experience.
- Keep the front desk stocked with up-to-date information on dining, recreation, and local activities.
- Ensure the front desk and office area are always clean, organized, and presentable.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
- Knowledge of booking systems and office software is an asset.
- Ability to handle cash and perform basic accounting.
- Must be flexible to work weekends, and evenings.
- Must be fluent in English both verbal and written.
- Ability to stand on your feet for up to 8 hours a day, with breaks.
