Full job description
We are seeking a dependable, friendly, and organized Breakfast Cook to prepare and serve high-quality morning meals for guests at our bed and breakfast. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming breakfast experience through excellent food preparation, cleanliness, and guest interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook daily breakfast menu items, including eggs, pancakes, pastries, fruit, breakfast meats, and specialty dishes
- Accommodate guest dietary needs and food allergies as needed
- Ensure food is prepared safely and in accordance with health and sanitation standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and prep area
- Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management
- Assist with menu planning and seasonal specials
- Perform opening kitchen duties
Qualifications
- Previous cooking or food service experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work early morning shifts 6am-2pm, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently in a small-team environment
- Friendly and guest-focused attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
Preferred Skills
- Experience in hospitality, cafés, inns, or bed and breakfasts
- Familiarity with homemade and scratch cooking
- Basic baking skills
- Creativity in menu presentation and seasonal meal planning
Work Schedule
- Early morning shifts
- Part-time or full-time opportunities available
- Weekend availability required
