We are looking for a Kitchen Manager who understands that great operations are not about chaos or heroics. They are about structure, standards, and repeatability.
Responsibilities: This is a hands-on leadership role. You will own the day-to-day function of the kitchen.
- Lead and manage all BOH staff
- Build and maintain schedules that support service flow and labor targets
- Train, coach, and hold the team accountable to standards and provide ongoing development opportunities through coaching and performance feedback.
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and plating execution
- Oversee prep, inventory, ordering, and receiving
- Control food cost and reduce waste
- Support service during peak hours and problem-solve in real time
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining experience for all guests
- Utilize POS systems for order management, cash handling, and sales reporting
- Coordinate shift management, including scheduling staff coverage during peak hours and ensuring smooth restaurant operation
Qualifications: We are not looking for someone who just “runs a kitchen.” We are looking for someone who understands systems.
- Experience in high-volume kitchens
- Strong leadership presence and accountability
- Ability to train and develop a team, not just manage one
- Clear understanding of food cost, labor, and inventory controls
- Organized, detail-oriented, and solution-driven
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to move with urgency without sacrificing consistency
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
- Hospitality management background with experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
