Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal operation.
  • Use schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues with equipment or infrastructure, implementing effective repairs promptly.
  • Operate tools such as welders, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
  • Conduct residential painting projects and minor carpentry tasks to maintain facility aesthetics.
  • Manage facilities maintenance records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and asset history.
  • Assist with supervising maintenance activities when needed, providing guidance to junior team members or contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all maintenance tasks, including welding or electrical work, to uphold a safe working environment.
  • Be able to climb up and down stairs up to 50 lbs

Experience

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field within manufacturing or residential settings.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience, including reading schematics and using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
  • Hands-on skills in welding, plumbing, carpentry, or painting are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance roles demonstrates ability to oversee projects and mentor team members.
  • Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration across teams.

Pay: $13.00 – $15.00 per hour
