Restaurant Host


  • Be prepared to answer questions about the restaurant, the concept, the menu etc.
  • Manage guest volume in each server section, rotating as possible/appropriate to spread the volume evenly amongst server/bartender staff
  • Add guests to waitlist as necessary and maintain communication with guests waiting for tables
  • Answer the phone promptly and make reservations/place takeout orders upon request
  • Stay busy- understand that business levels can change quickly and be ready to jump into action at any time to help servers and bartenders succeed during high-volume periods
  • Seek out opportunities to learn and grow your hospitality skills
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and polished service area

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in high-volume customer service preferred
  • Be organized, attentive and efficient. Hustle/a sense of urgency is a must
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
