Full job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
- Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages, including espresso-based drinks, following standardized recipes.
- Operate coffee equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and blenders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and use the POS system accurately.
- Educate customers on the menu and make recommendations based on their preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
Requirements:
- Previous barista or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Passion for coffee and a desire to learn more about coffee preparation.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
