Job Purpose
The Warehouse Incharge is responsible for the overall management of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, dispatch, and safety of tiles and sanitary ware products, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against delivery documents
- Maintain accurate stock records in manual registers or ERP systems
- Monitor stock levels and report damaged, slow-moving, or obsolete items
- Ensure proper storage, stacking, and labeling to prevent damage
- Organize warehouse layout for safe and efficient storage
- Supervise loading, unloading, and dispatch activities
- Ensure timely material dispatch as per approved orders and schedules
- Coordinate with transporters and logistics teams
- Supervise warehouse staff and laborers; assign daily tasks
- Monitor attendance, productivity, and compliance with company policies
- Maintain GRNs, delivery notes, stock registers, and related documents
- Prepare periodic stock, dispatch, and inventory reports
- Assist in physical stock counts and audits
- Ensure safety compliance and proper housekeeping in the warehouse
- Report accidents, damages, or safety issues immediately
- Coordinate with Sales, Accounts, and Procurement teams
- Support stock reconciliation and communicate shortages or availability.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Storekeeper or Warehouse staff
- Experience in building materials (tiles, sanitary ware, ceramics, or similar) is highly preferred
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and documentation
- Ability to handle heavy and fragile materials
- Basic computer skills (Excel/ERP is an advantage).
