Job Summary
The Warehouse and Logistics Manager oversees end-to-end operations for warehousing and shipping, ensuring timely order fulfillment and inventory accuracy. This role leads two functional teams—Warehouse and Logistics—driving performance, safety, and compliance with trade regulations. The manager is responsible for process optimization, digital transformation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Key focus areas include operational efficiency, team development, and adherence to Emerson’s HSE and trade compliance standards. The role plays a critical part in supporting Quickship and Parts business objectives across MEA.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and drive safety initiatives including daily toolbox talks and safety training.
- Lead and manage the Warehouse and Logistics teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer expectations.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop team leaders and members through training, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Oversee all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, kitting, and handover to freight forwarders.
- Implement and optimize warehouse processes, including digitalization and automation projects.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and documentation.
- Maintain optimal stock levels of consumables and oversee equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Coordinate with internal departments (Purchasing, Quality, Planning) to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Manage non-conformance items and coordinate with Quality and Purchasing for resolution and scrapping decisions.
- Ensure timely and compliant shipment of customer orders in line with trade compliance and international trade regulations.
- Coordinate with Order Administration, LBP, Warehouse, and Freight Forwarders for smooth shipping operations.
- Oversee preparation of shipping and customs documentation and maintain accurate shipping records.
- Resolve system issues related to shipping and address customer grievances/escalations effectively.
- Act as the gatekeeper for all outbound shipments, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to Emerson’s Trade Compliance procedures and local/international regulations.
