Full job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Present menus, explain daily specials, and make knowledgeable recommendations on food and beverage options.
  • Take guest orders accurately and ensure all details are correctly entered into the POS system.
  • Serve food and non-alcoholic beverages promptly and in accordance with hotel service standards.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by anticipating needs, responding to requests, and addressing any concerns professionally.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, tables, and service stations at all times.
  • Follow all hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards as set by the hotel and local regulations.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery of orders.
  • Process guest bills, handle cash or card payments, and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
  • Promote hotel outlets, special offers, and ongoing events to enhance the guest dining experience.
  • Assist in setting up and clearing tables, buffets, and event setups as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a 4- or 5-star hotel or upscale dining restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards (non-alcoholic).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused attitude.
  • Professional appearance, positive attitude, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling procedures.
  • Team player with strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Basic knowledge of dietary restrictions, food safety, and hygiene practices is an advantage.
