Role Purpose
The Waiter/Waitress will be responsible for delivering outstanding guest service, ensuring smooth daily operations, and upholding RIKAS service standards. As a frontline ambassador of the restaurant, you will create memorable dining experiences while maintaining efficiency, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service Excellence
- Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and ensure they feel welcome.
- Present menus, explain specials, and provide knowledgeable recommendations.
- Take accurate orders and ensure they are delivered promptly and correctly.
- Anticipate guest needs, resolve concerns gracefully, and exceed expectations.
- Manage guest complaints in a professional manner, escalating when necessary.
Operational Duties
- Ensure tables, stations, and service areas are clean, organized, and properly set.
- Serve food and beverages following RIKAS standards for timing, presentation, and quality.
- Assist with daily mise en place, table settings, and closing duties.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow opening and closing checklists and operational guidelines.
Standards & Compliance
- Uphold grooming and appearance standards as per RIKAS policies.
- Ensure compliance with all health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
- Maintain awareness of promotions, special events, and menu updates.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a high-end or luxury restaurant (minimum 1–2 years preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset.
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance, with high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be available to join immediately in Ras Al Khaimah.
