Job Description


What you will be doing:

  • Greet and welcome guests with confidence in a friendly manner and high standard of social skills.
  • Take the guest food and beverage orders, share menu recommendations and inform of any special promotions.
  • Take time and get to know the guests, and to be committed to service excellence.
  • Provide service that is sincere, warm and enthusiastic, ensuring the guests satisfaction.
  • Forward the guest orders to kitchen team for preparation and ensure the food orders are made correctly by the chefs and looks presentable for guests.
  • Prepare the bill when guests requested.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
  • Ensure tables are properly set and the dining area is clean and presentable at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other front-of-house team members to provide seamless service.
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Assist in training new team members and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling and credit card transactions, following hotel policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating teamwork, flexibility, and a willingness to assist colleagues as needed.


Qualifications


Your experience and skills include:

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role in a 5 star hotel.
  • Flexibility to take on various shifts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
