Waiter/ Waitress

Job Description


We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Waiter/Waitress to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of service.

  • Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages
  • Take accurate orders and communicate them effectively to the kitchen staff
  • Serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure tables are set up correctly and maintained throughout service
  • Process payments and handle cash and credit transactions accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Assist in opening and closing procedures as required
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions
  • Adapt to rotating schedules and different sub-departments within the Food & Beverage Division as needed

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a 4-5 star hotel environment (fresher candidates with strong potential will be considered)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills for handling bills and payments
  • Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of food and beverage items, with the ability to make recommendations
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Team player with a collaborative attitude
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
