Waiter/Cashier

Job Responsibilities:

  • Introduces customers to the menu and highlights daily or seasonal specials
  • Answers questions about menu items, ingredients, and pricing
  • Takes customer orders for food and beverages by writing them on a ticket, entering them into a tablet, or memorizing them
  • Communicates orders to the kitchen staff for preparation
  • Prepares and serves beverages to customers
  • Collects food from the kitchen, verifies accuracy, and serves it to customers
  • Ensures customer satisfaction and processes additional orders if needed
  • Clears tables by removing used dishes, glasses, and flatware
  • Processes payments via cash or credit card and returns change when necessary
  • Sets tables with appropriate dishes, glassware, and flatware; refills condiments as needed
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of menu items, specials, and restaurant information
  • Participates in daily or regular meetings with managers and wait staff to review menu updates, reservations, and special guest requirements
