The Transport Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily transportation operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods and/or passengers. This role involves supervising drivers, coordinating schedules, ensuring compliance with transport regulations, and maintaining fleet performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily transport operations and driver activities
• Plan and optimize routes and schedules to meet delivery or service targets
• Ensure compliance with transport laws, safety standards, and company policies
• Monitor driver performance, attendance, and conduct
• Conduct driver briefings, training, and performance evaluations
• Inspect vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and arrange maintenance or repairs
• Investigate accidents, incidents, or delays and prepare reports
• Manage fuel usage, mileage records, and transport documentation
• Liaise with clients, warehouse staff, and management to resolve transport issues
• Control transport costs and support budgeting initiatives

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (logistics or transport qualification preferred)
• Proven experience in transport, logistics, or fleet supervision
• Valid driver’s license (commercial license an advantage)
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and transport legislation
