The Transport Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily transportation operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods and/or passengers. This role involves supervising drivers, coordinating schedules, ensuring compliance with transport regulations, and maintaining fleet performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily transport operations and driver activities
- Plan and optimize routes and schedules to meet delivery or service targets
- Ensure compliance with transport laws, safety standards, and company policies
- Monitor driver performance, attendance, and conduct
- Conduct driver briefings, training, and performance evaluations
- Inspect vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and arrange maintenance or repairs
- Investigate accidents, incidents, or delays and prepare reports
- Manage fuel usage, mileage records, and transport documentation
- Liaise with clients, warehouse staff, and management to resolve transport issues
- Control transport costs and support budgeting initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (logistics or transport qualification preferred)
- Proven experience in transport, logistics, or fleet supervision
- Valid driver’s license (commercial license an advantage)
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and transport legislation

- Basic computer skills (transport management systems, Excel, reporting tools)
