Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teller Supervisor to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Teller Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations of our teller area, ensuring accurate and efficient customer transactions while maintaining the highest standards of service and compliance.
- Oversee and manage teller operations, including cash transactions, check deposits, fund transfers, and foreign exchange services
- Ensure compliance with bank policies, operational risk controls, and regulatory requirements
- Supervise, coach, and develop teller staff to maintain operational accuracy and consistent service delivery
- Monitor and contribute to achieving branch service KPIs, including customer satisfaction metrics and transaction accuracy
- Manage cash limits and exchange positions in accordance with branch authorization standards
- Conduct regular audits and surprise cash counts to maintain operational integrity
- Prepare and submit daily, monthly, and quarterly reports on teller operations to branch management
- Act as the primary point of escalation for complex transactions and customer inquiries
- Promote the bank’s digital channels and self-service options to customers
- Ensure the security of undelivered cards, checkbooks, and sensitive customer information
- Collaborate with branch management to implement process improvements and enhance operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in banking, business, finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking operations, with at least 3 years in teller operations and supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of branch operations, cash management, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in team management
- Proficiency in banking software and systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Knowledge of local banking regulations and practices in the UAE
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
- Ability to make decisions and handle escalations effectively
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
