Position Summary:
The Telephone Operator is responsible for handling all internal and external calls in a courteous and efficient manner, ensuring accurate communication and excellent guest service. Fluency in Russian is required to support Russian-speaking guests and provide clear communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer, screen, and route incoming calls promptly and professionally
- Handle guest inquiries and requests via telephone
- Provide hotel information, services, and facilities to callers
- Take and relay accurate messages to relevant departments or individuals
- Assist with wake-up call requests and reminders
- Maintain updated internal directory of departments and extensions
- Record and log all calls as required by hotel procedures
- Handle emergency calls and follow safety and security procedures
- Support Front Office and Guest Relations with guest communication needs
- Uphold confidentiality and privacy of guest information at all times
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience as a telephone operator, receptionist, or in customer service preferred
- Fluency in Russian is required; English proficiency is essential
- Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong listening and problem-solving abilities
- Basic computer skills and experience with PBX/telephone systems preferred
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
