Job Summary
We are looking for Storekeeper for our five star Hotel who will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and controlling all hotel materials, supplies, food & beverage items, and equipment. The role ensures accurate inventory management, proper documentation, and compliance with hotel policies and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect all incoming goods to ensure quantity, quality, and specifications match purchase orders.
- Maintain proper storage of food, beverages, housekeeping supplies, engineering materials, and other hotel inventory.
- Issue materials to departments based on approved requisitions and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) practices, especially for food and perishable items.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in all storage areas.
- Conduct regular stock counts, inventory audits, and reconciliations.
- Monitor stock levels and report slow-moving, expired, or damaged items.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Finance for reordering and stock control.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, HACCP standards, and health & safety regulations.
- Prepare inventory reports, consumption reports, and stock variance reports.
- Control access to store areas and ensure security of all stored items.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or high school certificate; additional training in inventory or logistics is an advantage.
- Minimum 1–3 years’ experience as a Storekeeper in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of hotel inventory systems and MS Office.
- Familiarity with food safety, hygiene, and storage standards.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
