Full job description

Position: Store Keeper (Fitout & Joinery Projects)

Job Responsibilities:

Material Receiving:

  • Receive all incoming materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Inspect deliveries for quantity, quality, and compliance with specifications.
  • Verify materials against purchase orders and delivery notes.

Material Storage:

  • Store materials systematically in designated areas.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage to prevent damage or deterioration.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the store at all times.

Inventory Management:

  • Keep accurate records of stock levels, receipts, and issues.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to replenish stock when levels reach the minimum.

Material Issuance:

  • Issue materials to site teams based on approved requisitions.
  • Record all material issues with date, quantity, and recipient details.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain documents such as GRNs, issue slips, stock registers, and daily material reports.
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports to the Site Manager or Head Office.

Coordination:

  • Work closely with procurement, project engineers, and accounts to manage material requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Follow up with suppliers on pending or short deliveries.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure safe storage and handling of materials in line with company safety standards.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or losses promptly to the concerned authority.

Tool & Equipment Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of tools and equipment issued and returned by workers.
  • Monitor proper upkeep, maintenance, and tracking of all tools and equipment.
