Storekeeper

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders.
  • Organize and store materials in a systematic manner for easy access and retrieval.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all data is updated regularly.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to detect any discrepancies and report findings.
  • Liaise with suppliers to schedule deliveries and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Ensure that the storage facility is clean, secure, and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill their inventory needs efficiently.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders to replenish stock as required to avoid shortages.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on stock and sales for management review.
  • Dispose of any obsolete stock following company and environmental guidelines.
  • Train and supervise junior staff or assistants in stock management practices.
  • Implement and improve processes to enhance efficacy in storage and distribution.

Requirements

  • Candidate should have knowledge of heavy equipment spare parts.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications are a plus.
  • Prior experience in inventory management or related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately and swiftly.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration.
  • Physical capability to lift and move heavy items as necessary in the role.
